Volunteer
Opportunities
The Lubbock Rape Crisis center is always looking
for dedicated, caring Volunteer Advocates. If you are interested
in being a part of this dynamic organization there are several
ways to volunteer:

- 24 hour Sexual Assault Hotline Advocate
work designated phone shifts on the hotline;
- 24 Hour Medical
Accompaniment; Advocates meet sexual assault survivors at the
hospital to comfort and assist them throughout the forensic
examination.
- Law Enforcement Accompaniment
- Advocates provide Judicial Accompaniment
- Advocates assist with
Survivor Follow-Up and Referral
- Speaker’s
Bureau Volunteer Advocates attend health fairs, community gatherings,
and any
type of community events where
LRCC could provide
information. Also; speaking to community groups about
the services LRCC provides and about sexual violence.

| REQUIREMENTS: Volunteer
Advocates must be 18 years of age or older, pass
a criminal background check, complete an application,
interview with the Volunteer Coordinator. Once approved Volunteer
Advocates must attend a 40 hour training that
focuses on working with sexual assault survivors and their families. |
