We
want to invite everyone to participate in the Walk a Mile in Her
Shoes men’s march and the After Party event.
Plans
begin with a morning march around the Lubbock
County Courthouse lawn where men will don 4 inch high heeled
women’s shoes and walk a mile to speak out against sexual
assault in Lubbock and the surrounding rural communities.
The evening
will close with the After Party where a dinner will be served and
both a live auction and silent action will be held.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Walk a Mile events; it is truly a
fun filled day and a unique way to lend a voice to speak out against sexual
assault and show your support for the valuable services provided to survivors
of sexual assault by the Lubbock Rape Crisis Center.
In
2008 the Lubbock Rape Crisis Center assisted 327 victims of
sexual assault in Lubbock and the surrounding
rural communities. Sadly, 48% of those cases involved children
under the age of 17 years. Please help us speak out against
sexual violence and be a part of the 3rd Annual Walk a Mile
in Her Shoes events.

host the international Walk a Mile in Her Shoes Men’s March
to Speak Out Against Sexual Assault, and Violence. What a phenomenal
event!...
